Domain Management

We can purchase and manage your domain for you or take over management of an existing domain if you transfer it to us.

Managing your domain for you allows us to take care of things like setting or updating the records to correctly point to your hosting account.  We can even manage multiple domains for you if you want customers to be able to find you under more than one name.

There is no additional cost for this service.  If you have a domain registered through us, you can simply enter a support ticket in the Client Care section to let us know when you need an update to your domain records.

Full Range of Domain Options

With our services, you can do many things with your domain.  This includes:

• URL Forwarding - Point your domain to any URL or website that you want, even ones not on our servers.
• Freedom to manage elsewhere - DNS can be redirected to another hosting or service provider while we still manage the domain for you.
• Easy to change - Just put in a ticket to have the DNS directed elsewhere, or modify things like A records, MX, MXE, CNAME, and TXT.  You can even change some of the records yourself, if you choose.
• Transfers - we can help you transfer your domain to us at no additional charge.

Easy Controls with our Hosting - if you want it

For clients who use Lotus Petal Designs for both their domain and hosting, the Nameservers are usually changed over to the hosting control panel.  This allows you to manage your domain records yourself - if you would like.

Technical Details

When you register a domain through us, it is not fully registered until payment is received and your order is reviewed and approved.  Orders are not approved if payment is rejected, if we suspect fraud, or if we suspect there is the potential for violation of our Terms and Conditions.
